FAMILY HISTORY

There is nothing like getting your children to learn some basic steps to take to learn about their family history. They will be encouraged to continue after completing the workshop.

POETRY AS THERAPY

Participants will learn how to put their feelings and emotions on paper in the form of writing poetry. The workshop will culminate in putting together a booklet of their writings.

GARDENING 101

This class will guide you step-by-easy-step through the process of:  deciding what kind of garden you wish to start, where to place it, how to be certain that the soil is ready and good for growing, how to know what to plant and where to plant it.

STAMPED:
RACISM/
ANTIRACISM

The construct of race has always been used to gain and keep power, to create dynamics that separate and silence. This remarkable reimagining of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning reveals the history of racist ideas in America, and inspires hope for an antiracist future. It takes you on a race journey from then to now, shows you why we feel how we feel, and why the poison of racism lingers. It also proves that while racist ideas have always been easy to fabricate and distribute, they can also be discredited.
